We were going o Hawaii, but to do to many issues we decided to go next summer. So we decided to go to a resort. I chose Great Wolf Lodge. But my sister gets involved in every program at her school. So she has a really tight schedule. and she said "No we are not going I don't even swim" my mom was looking forward to it and was about to take 3 days off from work. I'm 14. I'm not an only child, but I feel like one. My parents are going to the usa for the summer and I want to go with them because they're visiting chilly places like nyc, la and hawaii. My sister was away at college but although she's here for the summer she doesn't want to arrive. I've never been on vacation with just my parents. I told them I would arrive but now I'm having doubts. Do any of you have any ideas for a fun time with parents when you're the only teen? Resolved Question: How should I pay for an vacation condo rental in Hawaii?

My wife and I are looking for a place to stay on the island arriving Saturday, Sep 4 and leaving Friday, Sep 10. There are lots of cottages, condos, tiny independent rental properties on the island along with hotels and resorts. I'm looking at trip advisor for reviews but i don't know how to pay so that I have some nice of protection. If I just rent a hotel or resort i can cancel and pay the fee or have some travelers insurance but most of these places that are privately owned have big deposits upfront. Even the ones w/ lots of good reviews I'm worried if they want cash. I have some protection for services if i pay w/ my amex. With cash it's buyer beware. Anyone ever rented a condo or rental place for a week? How did you pay? How was your stay? We're going to kauai. Please no stupid responses.

My dream was about me and this one girl, whom I like. I used to talk to her a lot last year and I even went to a school dance with her. I don't really talk to her that much anymore but recently, I've realized that I like her. I don't believe that she feels the same way about me, but never the less, I would still talk to her at school. Here is my dream. A couple of years later, after graduating from high school, a group of my friends and I, including her, went on a trip to a tropical island for vacation. The island was beautiful and stunning, much like Hawaii, but more exotic and lush. The dream spans across the course of two weeks on the island. She sees me as nothing more than a pal, and we would each go off to sight look with our possess group of friends everyday. We would eat dinner together as a group at a local restaurant but that would be it. One day, I spotted her drinking on a bench at our resort. She's a Mormon, and doesn't drink alcohol, so I knew something was up. I went up to her and talked to her. We ended up drinking and talking every night. She had told me everything about her life (this I couldn't remember) and I had told her mine. We parted our ways afterward and went to our possess hotel rooms. The days in the dream after this encounter is what's truly amazing. We ditched our possess respective groups to hang out with each other. We would go to beaches, to the shopping malls, and eat at the local restaurants together. It every completely blew my mind. It was the best time of my life. After I woke up, I felt like everything around me was the dream and that my dream was reality. This seemed like something out of a dramatic novel, yet I have never written any books before. I felt like a powerful force had came to talk to me in my dream to tell me to never give up on anything anymore, including this girl. I was changed but I need to know more about my dream. Any help towards interpreting my dream would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Voting Question: We need some suggestions for a wedding location?

We were planning on getting married in Nassau this winter. With the oil spill we are now trying to find another location. We are worried that we are going to receive there and there will be oil every over the beach and we will not be able to dive and swim at every. We have been there the past few years and like these activities as our Christmas presents to each other. We were considering Hawaii because of the variety of cheaper hotels, but nobody would be able to afford to fly that far in our families. We are on the eastern part of the U.S. and tickets to Hawaii are more than double what they are to Nassau. We really would like a destination wedding where people talk English at a resort that offers wedding packages. We liked the resort in the Bahamas because we had to do not planning at every. We plan on having a group of about 15-25 with us. We are unsure of the exact numbers, but we are running out of time to plan this. We do not want it to cost too much for our guests because nobody has a ton of money right now. Any suggestions for as far as locations go? We really had or hearts set on Nassau but do not want to just sit and watch oil and dead fish wash up on the shore every week. Help please! Please give me serious answers. We want a place that is going to be warm in the winter and affordable. Ireland is both icy and not affordable for us to receive to. And the Jersey Shore?? Really? I want to take my family, 6 adults and one child (he's 5) on one last family holiday to Hawaii. Can anyone tell me if there are any every inclusive resorts where breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and snacks are paid for in Hawaii? It's a holiday of a lifetime and i am in my early twenties, my nana is dying and i want to take her somewhere truly breath taking to thank her for everything she has done for me. Resolved Question: I have no motivation?

It seems like I have no motivation to do anything. I feel like nothing in life really matters. I have no interest in doing anything because, for some reason, I feel like I should be doing something else- something that matters. The fact that life is uncertain has really thrown me off. For example, I want to go to college to learn how to design games. But I would need to receive $40,000 in loans. What if I can't receive a job by the time I'm out of college? What if the world has gone to shit and everything I learned was for nothing? And I don't know if game development is what I really want to receive into anyways. I've thought about numerous different career options like web design and writing... but I don't like doing one thing for too long... because I feel like I should be doing something else. It's very stressful. I really want to move to a tropical island and have a simple life with an entry level job- probably at a resort. I don't want to be stressed out anymore. At least if I had some simple job in some beautiful place like Hawaii, I wouldn't have to think about any of this anymore. I've always loved the beach... I think that's where I feel I need to be. I would feel very spoiled, something that I obviously don't feel very often anymore. What do you think I should do?

I had a C-card from Naui twenty years ago. Ive only dived then but have recently been diving with dive shops in hawaii and Mexico thru the resorts. Thats the only scuba diving I want to do. Will they renew my old c-card? I dont want to dive except thru there, and besides I earned it.

I have a Sept Honeymoon coming up and have yet to decide on a location. I have began looking into doing a private rental from an independant owner rather than a resort, I'm looking on the Big Island in hawaii. Okay so my sweet 16 is comming up in October. I can pick any place I want to go, but heres the sides to it: Paris: Seems really chilly, but its a romantic place and I'll be going with my family. Open Question: Fiji or Hawaii?? Pros and cons?

I have like no idea which i would like to do more cos I don't know anythin bout either of em cept that Hawaii is more touristy and fiji is more isolated... but which one is more fun? I'm going sometime in December - march(not sure yet) and i'lll be staying 3-4weeks as a last bang b4 i graduate early. First time visitor to Hawaii: Maui or Oahu? In early to mid July, we have planned a trip to Hawaii. We will be staying there for about two weeks. However, we have not yet been able to decide which particular island we would like to travel to. We have it narrowed down to two islands however: Maui and Oahu. Ok please don't say I am spoiled I am just curious about why my dad is acting like this. EVERY Summer My family or just me go on a vacation. But this Summer my dad keeps on changing the plan. I am not so much worried about going on a vacation as much to why he is doing this. First, back in April he said we are going to Hawaii for a Wedding. Then he said he fired the guy. Then, in May he said he wants to send me to Ethiopia (Where my grandparents are from) Then Changed his mind about it. THEN he asked me to look for a resort or something close by. AND THEN, Last night when we went out to dinner, I told him the resorts I found then he said he will just send me and my sister to LA before my cousin goes off to College. And he told me to look for tickets. I just want him to tell me whats going on. Whether money is tight, (which i doubt because I help my mom balance the check book), or there is just something else. When I tried asking him this he said what are you talking about? I told you guys you will go to LA. But then hes probably going to change his mind again and then school will start. yeah so i can understand that, but ehtiopia is kinda cheaper than that. its like 2000 for round trip. so i understand why he said no to that but still its weird that he keeps on changing the plans.

My husband and I are having vow renewal in Hawaii. We will be having the ceremony at the new Disney resort on the wedding lawn overlooking the ocean. I want to wear a traditional full wedding gown, but I would like it to blend in with the tropical feel of Hawaii. Any Idea's?

Resolved Question: Can anyone recommend a good resort in Puerto Rico and/or Hawaii?

I want to schedule my trip for next month and would either go to Puerto Rico or Hawaii because me and my lady pal do not have passports. What do you recommend Puerto Rico or Hawaii? Do you know of any good resorts there? We are looking for a resort with a lot of activities(e.g. jetskiing, snorkeling, scuba diving, pool, spa etc etc) included and hopefully somewhere that is no more than 500ish a person, and flight included. Also, i know some hotels/resorts or whatever have a minimum age limit, well we are both over 18 but below 21 which makes it more difficult. :/ Im trying to do something nice for our 3 year anniversary, but im becoming very stressed from searching for the right place. Can anyone help?

what city would meet our needs best. We do not want to stay at a resort that is far from everything. No kids and silent is also nice. Going over with Mom. We like shopping, beach very close, old Hawaii feeling, but clean and nice. Really liked the feeling in Kona Beach when we went. I appreciate any suggestions.

Resolved Question: Hawaiian vacation: Kauai vs. Maui?

Hi, my family is planning to go to Hawaii in August, and we are trying to decide which island to visit. We're basically debating between Kauai and Maui (but if you think another island is better for us, let me know :D) In general, I know that Kauai is more peaceful, less commercialized (but not at an uncomfortable level), more tropical/scenic/lush... whereas Maui is also very nice and scenic but more crowded. This is the first time we'll be going to Hawaii. It'll just be me and my parents; I'll be 16. Top priorities: Really nice beaches (preferably not crowded) Beautiful scenery (maybe with some nice easy hikes) Real "Hawaiian" feel Do not care for: Shopping Big resorts Surfing Nightlife It'd be nice if we could go to a Luau and look something cultural, but that isn't a must. We just want to have some good family fun and look some really nice scenery :) Thanks :)

Resolved Question: Traveling to Boracay?

I'm considering vacationing in Boracay during the holidays (last 2 weeks of December) and have the following questions - - What is the best way to receive to Boracay from Taiwan? I've heard either fly to Manila and take a ferry to Boracay or fly directly to an airport closer to Boracay? - How is Boracay these days? The beautiful beach/sand is very well known but many fear that the island has gotten way too commercialized and croweded. Is it going to be very busy/crowded during Xmas holidays? - Loding options.. according to the online resource, the average rate seems to be affordable but most hotel/resort website show extremely high rates during the holidays (over $200 USD/night). Is this real? - How is Boracay compared to other beach destinations around the world such as Hawaii (Maui), Cancun Mexico or Maldives? - Heard Cebu is a nice beach destination in the Philippines? Is it recommended over Boracy? Any info is very much appreciated!!!

Resolved Question: Wedding ceremony on the beach or grass? I'd really appreciate your opinions?

My fiance and I both cannot decide on where to have the ceremony. The only reason we even wanted to receive married in Hawaii is because we both wanted a beach wedding but Palm Grove looks amazing. I am wearing a white princess gown, similar to the dress Kate Hudson wore in bridewars, purple ribbon instead but it's not as big and it has lace over it. I was planning on wearing barefoot sandals with it too. He is wearing a black suit, a white waistcoat and a purple tie. I think with my dress the grass would be a better idea but we'd be having an aisle runner if we pick the beach. But anyway, we can't decide. Please help. Which do you prefer? Resolved Question: Where is a good place to go for vacation?

Ok so this is more along the lines of a family vacation there are 2 teens(age 17 and 16) 1 pre teen(age 12) one child(age 8). So obviously this can't be a resort in Hawaii or something expense but sorta in the middle. I think anywhere in America. We live in WI. p.s: I'm a huge twilight fan so would it be worthwhile to go to Forks, or anywhere in WA(no hater comments please)

Resolved Question: Anyone know how to make a frozen Coco Mo like at the Hilton Waikoloa Village resort in Hawaii?

My wife and I enjoyed the Hilton Waikoloa Village's Coco Mo frozen drink, but I haven't had any luck finding the recipe online. Their menu says "Malibu coconut rum, chocolate syrup, cream of coconut," but nothing else. Wife says she wants one, so I am on a mission. Anyone?

Voting Question: Relocating to Oahu....?

My Boyfriend and I are planning on moving to Hawaii soon... I am actually up for a job, that will relocate me. We have both been to Hawaii, but have not stayed very long, and don't know much about the island, except what a tourist would know. Also, I have lived in San Francisco and we both live in Big Sky, MT now, which is a secluded ski resort mountain town, so we KNOW what expensive is. Big Sky is also very secluded, so being on an island, won't pose the same "island fever" problems it would for most people. every that said, price and island NOT being a problem. I would just like to know, a few cities outside of Honolulu (20 or 30 minute commute with traffic) that are pretty safe, rent would be the cheapest, and how much to expect? What type of specs? We are looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom, preferable 2 bedroom, doesn't have to be huge. I think we are looking to pay $900 or less, but I don't know if that is reasonable or not. It can be any type of place, apartment, home, condo, cabin, etc.

Resolved Question: Is The Great Wolf Lodge Resort only for kids?

if you are a teen or adult did you like it? we were going to go hawaii but we decided to just go to a local resort and go to hawaii next spring or summer. the water park looks chilly, my mom can like the spa (she REALLY likes spas) and its only an hour and 20 minutes from our home. We are going to the one in Washinton. My dad said okay. the only problem is my 17 year old sister said shes not going because its just a hotel with a waterslide. every I need to do is convince her or receive her somehow to go then we are going.
